Financial aid bachelor's degree

Open Day on 21 March

Being a student costs money. After admission to a Bachelor's, you need to make sure you can finance your studies.

There are different types of financial aid available.

How do I apply for a scholarship?

For most scholarships, you need to have fully completed the application process for your chosen bachelor's before applying. Due to strict deadlines, you are required to apply for admission to the bachelor's programme at least two months before the scholarship deadline.

Tip: It is recommended to send out multiple funding applications.

Applying for a scholarship is a process completely separate from your application for admission to a bachelor’s programme and is entirely your own responsibility. The University of Twente does not take part in securing a scholarship.

Start by gathering information from your own Ministry of Education or Department of Education as they may have details about a scholarship or bursary opportunities for students wishing to study overseas. Nuffic, the Dutch organisation for internationalisation in education, can provide you with a basic guide for possible sources of funding for international students who wish to study in the Netherlands. On the website of Study in NL, you will find more sources of funding for studying here.
