ATLAS Scholarships

The University College Twente offers an interdisciplinary Bachelor's programme in Technology and Liberal Arts & Sciences (ATLAS) for top students, integrating social and technical perspectives into a new engineering approach. The ATLAS Scholarship grants financial aid to students admitted to the ATLAS programme who would be unable to participate in the programme without such aid. The scholarships are awarded in order to foster the excellence and the diversity of the ATLAS student population. 

ATLAS Scholarship Information

The ATLAS Scholarship grants financial aid to two non-Dutch students admitted to the ATLAS programme who would be unable to participate in the programme without such aid.

Will open in Spring 2018, only after you have been accepted to the programme do you become an eligible recipient. You must make sure to follow up after your acceptance if you wish to receive information about this scholarship. Please keep in mind that scholarships are limited.

Eligibility For Applying For Scholarship

  • You have been admitted to the ATLAS programme.
  • You display strong motivation and have earned excellent grades in secondary school.
  • You are unable to attend the University College Twente without a scholarship. Students must prove their financial needs by submitting a budgetary proposal, or by sending copies of the salary statements of both parents (or legal guardians) and recent tax returns.

Duration of OUR scholarship

Scholarships are valid for three academic years in the amount of €6,000 per academic year, provided that the recipient remains eligible based on the conditions below.  

Conditions of the scholarships

  • The scholarship cannot be transferred to another academic year or another academic programme.
  • Payments of scholarships instalments will be terminated immediately if the scholarship recipient drops out of the programme. (Partial) reimbursement of awarded funds may be required.
  • The scholarship may be awarded in addition to other scholarships and grants; recipients must notify University College Twente of all other additional scholarships obtained.
  • Scholarship recipients are encouraged to promote University College Twente and its programme, to actively participate in activities with ATLAS sponsors and to contribute to the ATLAS student community.
  • You must maintain good academic results throughout each semester of the programme and graduate within three academic years.
  • You are an asset to the ATLAS community in terms of excellence. 

You must also apply for this scholarship before May 1st.

Other Scholarships

Holland Scholarship

The Holland Scholarship is a scholarship for excellent students from non-EU/EEA countries, applying for a study programme at the University of Twente. You can only apply to this scholarship once you have accepted admittance into the ATLAS programme.  You must make sure to follow up after your acceptance if you wish to receive information about this scholarship.
