This text forms a summary of all activities available at the University of Twente aimed at helping you to choose your educational programme.

Bachelor’s Open day – a group orientation day

When: Twice a year (March and November)

Time: Morning and afternoon programme

Whom is it for: international high school/secondary school students and Dutch VWO pre-university education grade 4, 5 and 6 students

We hold Open Days twice a year, in March and November. If you are a first year international high school/secondary school student or a Dutch VWO pre-university education student in grade 4 or 5 we recommend you visit the Bachelor’s Open Days in March. If you already are in your final year of pre-university education and would like to get more information, come and visit our Open Days in November.

A visit will not only allow you to obtain information about various English-taught bachelor’s programmes, but also to find out more about th education programmes by talking directly to current students and to their teachers.

Student for a Day – an individual orientation day

Period: On working days from 14 October until 30 June 

Time: 1 day, choose your own date!

Whom is it for: a final and nd pre-final year international high school students and Dutch VWO pre-university education grade 5 and 6 students

A Student for a Day is an individual orientation day, during which you will be accompanied by a current student from the English-taugt bachelor's programme you have selected for a whole day. You will experience what it is like to study at the University of Twente and in the chosen bachelor's porgramme.

Tip: To get the complete picture, we recommend you to first visit an Open Day before participating in a Student for a Day. If this is not possible due to your travel plans, we will, of course, welcome you in any of the study orientation activities.

Pre-U organizes different kinds of activities for secondary school students, ranging from short workshops and camps to programmes lasting several weeks. Pre-U offers a variety of programmes on all sorts of topics and gives insight into the university’s study programmes.

High Tech High Tea

Date: Date of 2016 is not set yet

Time: Afternoon programme

Whom it is for: only for Dutch VWO pre-university education grade 4 and 5 girls interested in technology

With an aim of helping girls to become aware of the range of and the possibilities in the field of science and technology, the Techniekmeiden women's team organizes activities like this High Tech High Tea. This afternoon programme is packed with presentations, workshops and 'speed dating' sessions with female students following a technical programme. While enjoying tea, chocolates, cakes and pastries, we explain to you why a technical programme is so much fun − but especially what you can do with it in the future!
