Finding European answers to global

“During projects we work together on solutions for current problems within the European Union.”

The international character of this programme and the unique mix of economics, law, political science and sociology appealed to me immediately. I’m from England, have lived in Germany for many years and I have always wanted to study in the Netherlands. This study programme which is in English is perfect for me. It is a small-scale programme that allows me to build close ties with the teachers and other students. During projects we work together on solutions for current problems within the European Union.

One project, for example, was about irregular migration during the Arab Spring. We had to map the economic and political consequences and issue an advice on how European politics should deal with this type of migration flows. You learn to look beyond borders, literally and figuratively, which is very interesting. Economics and sociology are my favourite subjects, these I want to further specialise in. For my minor I will do a semester in another European country, which I’m also looking forward to. You really study in an international context here!
