On the 6th of November 2013 the International Business Administration programme received the good news that the NVAO (The Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders ) has decided to accredit the MSc Business Administration and the BSc International Business Administration based on the EPAS\EFDM review and framework.
Both programs, MSc BA and BSc IBA, are evaluated as satisfactory to good on all NVAO criteria. Special of this accreditation is that the NVAO based her decision on the report of the EPAS review team. Two members were added to this EPAS review team on request of the NVAO: a student member and a certified NVAO secretary. The NVAO takes over the positive EPAS decision on accreditation of 15 May 2013 as well as the recommendations of EPAS.
Both programs are highly esteemed for their strong academic characteristics. Moreover the faculty is well qualified with active research. Both programs are respected for their ability to deliver the programs to high standards. Two recommendations are being made by the NVAO. Firstly to differentiate more between the intended learning outcomes of the master and the bachelor program. Secondly to intensify the preparation of students (especially master students) to future employment as (senior) executives. Suggested is the tuning of the content of the program and the assessment to these functions.
The accreditation is valid for three years (until 31 December 2016) for the moment. In case of a positive result of the UT Institutional audit this period will automatically be extended to six years (until 31 December 2019).
The program management is pleased with the recognition of the quality of the programs and faculty and looks confidently forward to the future in which the successful cooperation with all involved will be continued to offer the programs to our students and improve them even more.
