WHEN DO APPLICATIONS CLOSE? IF YOU WISH TO ENROL IN A Bachelor's, SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION BEFORE THE GIVEN DATE.

Which deadline applies to you depends on your nationality and the bachelor's you want to study. The deadlines listed below apply to every academic year. There are a few exceptions:

For students with a non-Dutch degree

Check the application deadlines below if you hold a degree which you didn’t obtain in the Netherlands. Check the Dutch government website whether you have an EEA or visa nationality.

Deadlines for European and Dutch nationalities

These deadlines apply if you have a nationality of one of the European Economic Area (EEA) or if you have a Dutch nationality, in possession of an international (foreign) diploma.

  • A foreign diploma is a diploma achieved in another country outside the Netherlands.
  • An international diploma is one of the following diplomas: International Baccalaureate, European Baccalaureate, General Certificate of Secondary Education and/or General Certificate of Education A2-Levels.

 * Please be aware that the application will not be finished as long as the final certified photocopies are not provided. The sooner the documents are provided the sooner your application file will be completed. 

** The deadline for Psychology is 1 April.  

Non-EEA (VISA) nationalities

The dates below apply if you need a residence permit for the Netherlands / visa when you wish to live and study here. Note, that your current nationality is leading, even if you have a Dutch or European residence permit. Example: if you have a Mexican nationality and hold a Dutch residence permit, your nationality is Mexican (not Dutch) and the deadlines below apply to you. You can check via the website of the Dutch government if you have an EEA nationality. When your nationality is not on the list, you have a non-EEA nationality.

The visa/residence permit procedure only starts after accepting your Offer of Admission, be aware of those deadlines as well. Every non-EEA student needs to go through the process, including students who already have a residence permit, as we need to verify this.

Deviating deadlines for Psychology and Technical Medicine

Psychology

The Bachelor’s in Psychology has a deviating deadline due to a mandatory matching activity.

  • Students with a foreign nationality (so all nationalities excluding students with a Dutch nationality) have to make a complete application in Studielink and submit all the required documents in Osiris before 1 April.
    • Visa students have to accept their Offer of Admission before the deadline of 1 June.
    • Students with a European nationality have to accept their Offer of Admission before the deadline of 1 August.

  • Dutch students with a foreign or international diploma have to make a complete application in Studielink and submission of all the required documents in Osiris before 1 April.

These deadlines apply to students with a Dutch nationality and with an international or foreign diploma. A foreign diploma is a diploma achieved in another country outside the Netherlands. An international diploma is one of the following diplomas: International Baccalaureate, European Baccalaureate, General Certificate of Secondary Education and/or General Certificate of Education A2-Levels.

  • Dutch Nationals with Dutch pre-education have to make a complete application in Studielink and submission of all the required documents in Osiris before June 1*. With Dutch pre-education we mean VWO, HAVO, HBO Associate Degree and / or HBO-P.

* Students with Dutch VWO as pre-education only have to make an application via Studielink and not via Osiris.

Technical Medicine

The Bachelor’s in Technical Medicine has a deviating deadline due to decentralised selection.

 All students (all nationalities) have to make a complete application in Studielink and submission of all the required documents in Osiris before January 15*.

* Students with a Dutch VWO as pre-education only have to make an application via Studielink and not via Osiris.

For students with a Dutch degree

Do you (almost) hold a degree from a recognised institution in the Netherlands? The application deadlines vary based on nationality. If you need help, check the Dutch government website whether you have an EEA or visa nationality. 

Dutch students with a Dutch VWO Diploma

If you have a Dutch nationality and hold a Dutch VWO diploma, check our Dutch website for the deadlines.

Dutch students with a Dutch pre-education other than VWO

Students with a Dutch nationality and with a Dutch pre-education other than VWO, for example HAVO, Associate Degree and/or HBO Propedeuse certificate have to make a complete application in Studielink and submit all the required documents in Osiris before 1 September.
