The broad education you receive in the Bachelor’s programme in Electrical Engineering gives you a wealth of options for a career or further study. Most of our students choose to pursue a Master’s programme.
Your internationally acknowledged Bachelor’s degree gives you access to relevant Master's programmes throughout the world. The elective courses in the third year of your Bachelor's programme enable you to prepare for the Master's programme of your choice.
The University of Twente offers a range of Master's programmes that follow on from the Bachelor’s programme in Electrical Engineering. Our students have gone on to take Master’s programmes in:

- Systems & Control (Mechanical Engineering, Robotics)
- Embedded Systems (Information Technology)
- Nanotechnology (Chemistry, Physics)
- Biomedical Engineering
These Master’s programmes all take two years to complete. Please note that additional admission requirements apply in some cases. The first year involves taking courses, some of which are required, while the second year invites you to dive into the world of professional practice and do an internship and a graduation assignment, usually at a company abroad.
