In the first half of the third year, as well as having certain obligatory subjects, you also have several electives. This means you are offered the opportunity to pursue your own interests. You can take modules from other disciplines or sign up for the highly interesting ‘High Tech, Human Touch modules. Or perhaps you fancy an experience abroad? Then you can opt for doing a minor in another country. In the last six months, you will be occupied with your final project before graduating.
During modules 9 and 10, you can chose which subjects to take – either at the University of Twente, elsewhere in the Netherlands or even abroad.
During your final semester – the second half of your third year in the Bachelor’s programme in Business& IT - you will complete the last two modules at the same time. In module 11, BIT Inc., you will team up with other students to form two fictitious companies specialized in delivering IT-based solutions. The clients of these project teams will be existing IT enterprises, who will provide assignments based on the offers they receive.
In module 12, your Bachelor reference project, you will present your own scientific research project at the Twente Student Conference on IT. This conference simulates a real scientific conference. Some of our students’ research projects presented here are so good that they get published in internationally recognized scientific journals. So the conference is a learning opportunity and an exciting way of finishing off your Bachelor's programme in Business & IT.
After all this, you will have your Bachelor's degree. If you are wondering what you can do after your studies, take a look here.
