Strong UT-contribution

UT contributes strongly at ECIU Research Labs

The University of Twente (UT) was well represented at the ECIU Research Labs online event on April 9. Seven UT researchers joined among 120 participants from across the ECIU network to exchange ideas and initiate new research collaborations.

Among the UT participants were Keerthivasan Rajamani, Elham Shirazi, Janset Dasdemir, and Sri Kolla from the Faculty of Engineering Technology (ET), alongside Aswin Balasubramaniam and Sebastian Piest from the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences (BMS). Their contributions formed part of a broader set of 67 innovative proposal ideas presented during the event.

The online gathering marked the first stage of the ECIU Research Labs’ two-step networking approach. Researchers engaged in 22 thematic breakout sessions, exploring pressing global challenges across key domains such as Energy & Sustainability, Transport & Mobility, Health & Wellbeing, and Digital Transformation.

Participants will continue refining their proposals through remote collaboration in the coming months. These efforts will culminate in an in-person workshop scheduled for November at Lodz University of Technology, where selected ideas will be further developed into concrete research initiatives.
