Tuesday 29 September 2026 08:45 - 21:00
How would you use digital technology to make city centres more vibrant, connected and resilient? Join Hack the Connected City of the Future on Tuesday 29 September at Connect-U in Enschede. Team up with students from different disciplines, turn your ideas into a concept or prototype and compete for prizes of up to €1,500.
During this one-day hackathon, you will explore how data, digital infrastructure and AI can help people discover places, meet others and feel more connected to their city.
Work in a multidisciplinary team of up to five students and turn your ideas into something tangible.
Pick your challenge
Choose one of two challenges:
- Think & Design: develop a scalable concept for the connected city centre of the future.
- Build & Apply: create a practical concept, prototype or demonstrator with real-world impact.
For each challenge, the winning team receives €1,500 and the runner-up €750.
Students from all programmes are welcome to apply. Five teams per challenge will be selected.
