Radian announces the launch of the Radian EXR: the first truly competition-ready electric enduro motorcycle, made possible by an innovative rapidly swappable battery system. As the company’s first production model, the EXR enables electric competition across all off-road disciplines, replacing the need for combustion-powered platforms in competitive off-road racing. The motorcycle is now available for reservation and will begin shipping to riders in selected markets from Q4 2027.
Radian set out to build an electric off-road motorcycle that is fully competition-ready and can far exceed the performance of a combustion-powered bike. Developed from the ground up by a team with experience in high-performance electric superbikes, the 70 hp Radian EXR removes the final barriers to electric enduro: limited range and long charging times.
At its core is Radian’s patent-pending InfiniPack battery system, enabling a full battery swap in under 30 seconds without any tools. The uniquely curved battery shape (the origin of the name ‘Radian’) allows for an ergonomic swap, while centralising mass for improved handling. The EXR launches with an 8.6 kWh Endurance battery pack, delivering 60–115 km of race-pace range at 125 kg, with a more lightweight 5.8 kWh Sprint battery pack following later.
Powered by a 336V drivetrain producing 70 hp and 1060 Nm at the rear wheel, the EXR delivers significantly higher performance than combustion engine enduro bikes. It revs up all the way to 14000 RPM, eliminating the need for gear shifts, instead letting riders focus more on improving their technique. Riders can fully customise power delivery through the app, adapting the bike to match their preference perfectly.
The EXR also introduces Smart Storage, allowing riders to carry tools, spare parts, or accessories in the bike, eliminating the need for a backpack. Built around a lightweight aluminium chassis that doubles as a thermal interface, it is equipped with premium, proven components including KYB suspension and Brembo brakes.
The EXR is designed for both competitive and recreational riders and is fully road-legal. The launch of the EXR marks the next era of enduro. Its purpose is not only to futureproof the world of off-road riding, but to definitively move it forward. The Radian EXR will be available from Q4 2027, starting in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, followed by a broader European rollout. The Radian EXR is competitively priced, available from €14,450. The motorcycle can be reserved through the Radian website: www.rideradian.com.
About Radian
Radian was founded in 2021 and is based in the Netherlands. Radian’s origins lie in Electric Superbike Twente, where the team developed high-performance electric race motorcycles and won the 2018 MotoE championship in their debut season. That experience translates directly into a competition-ready engineering approach and so, a team founder and several team members with a strong passion for off-road riding formed the foundation of the brand Radian.
Located in the region of Twente, Radian combines innovative design with user-centric functionality, while simultaneously leveraging its high-tech research and production environments by partnering with leading research institutes such as the University of Twente and the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Advanced Manufacturing. Radian has the vision to create an electric future without compromises, encouraging people to never stop exploring beyond limits.
