Brief intro

Diversity and Inclusion Officer at the UT - Dr. Sterre MKatini

Sterre towards defining and implementing policies and actions that move forward the UTwente towards a more inclusive community (you can contact Sterre here). Read this story about her that was published as part of the Shaping Expert initiative at the UT to get to know her better.

Shaping Expert Group (SEG) Inclusion 

The SEG Inclusion goal "is to contribute to the creation of a safe learning and working environment where everybody can feel at home and has equal opportunities to develop their full potential at the University of Twente."

Include-U (P-NUT Network)

Include-U is a project aiming to develop a sustainable platform to facilitate the inclusion of international doctoral candidates to the University of Twente (UT) community. It is part of the initiatives from the UT wide doctoral network (P-NUT). Please visit their website as they have also conducted surveys and reported on the current situation of international students' integration at the UT.

Th!nk with Pride 

The members of Th!nk with Pride organize "social events, so-called Rainbow Drinks, at the University [of Twente], in close cooperation with J&SV Exaltio and Saxion."

J&SV Exaltio

J&SV Exaltio is an Enschede-based association for LGBT+ students and youths. They organize various fun events and work towards providing a safe space for the LGBT+ students and youths in Enschede. 

AFRISA

The African International Students Association (AFRISA) "is the home of all who share the love for humanity and for Africa. We aim to share our ideas, seek to develop partnerships, events and further. Most important is, to value opportunities to connect with different people and form a unity. Speaking of unity AFRISA has the intention to appreciate diversity in Unity and aims to reach all African students and other International students who aim to learn and enrich their knowledge by learning from a different culture. Understanding African values and being part of an African community are considered to be irrespective of skin color." 

La Voz

La Voz is the university's Latin American student association. Apart from bringing Latin American culture within the university, they are also working to promote and enhance diversity in the university campus by different means. Check out their website to know more about them.
