Dear Future You: A guest book

Thank you all!

Thank you everyone, for joining the ENHANCE co-creation workshop at DesignLab University of Twente!

We congratulate the community for wanting to be, becoming and being the changemakers of tomorrow at DesignLab since 2014. As it's already been 10 years, we would like to use this momentum not just to celebrate, but also to reflect on how we feel, think and act. Because we are not there yet:

  • In 2014, DesignLab University of Twente was founded with the mission to make true responsible impact by bridging the gap between science and our society: students and researchers who join forces with the industry, government and citizens for societal challenges that seem to become more complex. We built upon the ecosystem that embraces innovation using new technologies, design research. We enabled collaboration based on learning with and from each other.

Back to the present. Our focus is more relevant than ever. Together with the UT community and beyond, we have facilitated, coordinated, communicated approaches and seen the -sometimes unconventional- solutions flourishing. But we are not there yet. Do we still have control over our actions? How many bridges do we need to build or burn to make a difference? And how much influence do we have on situations, when using the possibilities and responsibilities in our position?

When we look back on the experiences we have gained, let's be proud and unfold them in the vicinity of others, to bring us closer to the horizon. This year, DesignLab will celebrate its 10-year anniversary. It is just a number, but a great momentum to pay attention to how we feel, think and act.
