OVER 9 YEARS, We HAVE collaborated WITH STUDENTS, RESEARCHERS, AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS.
Societal challenges - from environmental and (ethical) health questions to rapidly evolving technology - bring forward tensions that cannot be resolved with traditional models of innovation. As a collaborative ecosystem for innovative changemakers, DesignLab connects scientific, technological and creative insights with you, UT researchers, students, governments, organisations, policy makers and citizens, using the Responsible Futuring Approach.
The DesignLab Research Fellowship consists of researchers based at various faculties of the University of Twente, that value creativity and transdisciplinarity. They share DesignLab’s vision and want to use it as a platform for researching, teaching and learning. Together, the DesignLab Research Fellows work towards exploring, understanding or solving societal challenges.
In 2022, nine Research fellows received the DesignLab Seed Fund in support of their innovative projects.
In our projects, we collaborate with researchers, students, educational staff, businesses, governments and societal organisations. We use our DesignLab method - combining scientific insights with design thinking principles - to connect the needs and skills of different partners. The teams in our projects are transdisciplinary, bound together by a drive to co-shape the future we want to live in.
