3D printing preparation instructions and tips!

How to print something in 3D

Before printing, you have to prepare your model:

  1. Produce your own 3D model in any program you like.
  2. Export your model in STL format.
  3. We will generate the G-Code from YOUR STL file.
  4. Print. This might take a couple of hours depending on the model.

In general, and to be time efficient, you can talk to someone from the TechTeam in PROTOTYPE.
They can provide you some advice even before seeing the final print. Available 3D printers in the eWorkshop are: the Ultimaker 2, 2E, 3E and the Formlabs Form 3L.
