Tosti Talks - Special edition; fighting climate change from europe

During the special edition TostiTalks, we invite guest speakers that you would not normally meet on campus.

Guest speaker: Raoul Boucke

During a survey carried out by TNS Political & Social network in 2013 across 27 EU member states it was found out that the youth’s most frequent reasons for not voting are: “the belief that the respondents' vote will not change anything (64%), that they are not sufficiently informed to vote (61%), that the European Parliament does not sufficiently deal with problems that concern them (56%) and that they are not interested in European politics and elections (54%)”.

Ever felt confused about the internal structure of the European Union? Ever doubted whether your interests are being dealt with? What about sustainability and preventing climate change? During the talk, the guest speaker will address those topics, with a focus on Europe and fighting climate change. The talk will end with an informal discussion where questions can be asked, as usual!
