New extortion mail reported

We received reports from various people that blackmailers have found a new way to persuade people to pay them.

The blackmailers have been claiming for some time that they have broken into your computer. In the past they only claimed the fact without "prove". Later on they used one of your old passwords. See the news item on the Cybersafety website of 7 November 2018.

Now they have found a new way to make people pay. They add porn images that they claim are from computers of other victims. They claim that those victims did not pay and that they are now distributing them. They warn that this can happen to you too.

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!

The photos are most likely stolen from a porn website.

The mails have various Topics ("Save Your Social Life", "Friends and Families will know your bad deeds"), but they all start with "Final WARNING:" followed by the e-mail address of the recipient. Do not open that mail.
If you have received such an email, please let CERT-UT know.
