Dutch Data Protection Authority starts privacy campaign

The Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP) has started an information campaign on the new European privacy law that will be enforced from 25 May onward. The campaign "Privacy affects everyone" should make people more aware of their privacy rights and offer organizations practical assistance with compliance with the law.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives people more control over their personal data.
Businesses and governments have an accountability from 25 May onward. This means that they have to keep a privacy administration.

On the campaign website (in Dutch) of the AP, other tools are offered and the information about the rights and obligations from the new law is clearly arranged.

For information about the situation regarding the GDPR at the university, see our privacy page.
