Amateur Photographers Association Drienerlo Foton will show their creativity around a self-chosen theme in the annual exhibition. This year’s theme is: the red line.
The Dutch term "als een rode draad in het verhaal" or “as a red thread in the story” (meaning, there is a theme in a story) is here freely translated by FOTON to "The red line". This theme creates a great opportunity to let both the photographer and the viewer use their own imagination but still connect all the pictures together.
The members do have the freedom to choose their own concept; nature, people, architecture, landscape, close-ups. Everything is possible. Just one rule is given to the photographers: use the red thread literally within the picture and it must 'enter' and 'exit' the frame. So, especially for this series of photos they have purchased a large stock of red thread together.
Let the experiment begin!
