Tuesday, December 7, 2021, the day Princess Amalia celebrates her eighteenth birthday, the new carillon composition Amalia Achttien! (Amalia 18!) by the Dutch composer Bob Zimmerman, will sound on many carillons throughout the Netherlands.
Also, in Enschede attention is paid to Amalia's eighteenth birthday. The Campus Carillon Circle plays a festive program on the Campus Carillon of the University of Twente and city carillonneur Esther Schopman plays the StadsCarillon. The concert on the CampusCarillon starts at 16.30 and ends with the composition "Amalia Achttien!", the last sounds of which will descend over the Campus just before 17:01, the birth time of the crown princess.
