    This course is closely related to UTQ competence 2: Teaching and supervising


After this course you can:

  • adequately perform those teaching activities relevant for you (e.g. lecturing, leading group discussions, tutorials) 
  • explain the importance of activating students in student learning
  • explain and use different activating teaching methods 
  • critically observe your own and others’ teaching activities and give useful suggestions for improvement


Vision on teaching and learning; activating student learning; try out of own lecture or assignment; giving and receiving feedback.


Preparation: assignments, record own lecture or prepare part of lecture, readings. 
In course: short assignments, show own teaching, discussions.


Prerequisite: the participant preferably has a teaching task during or shortly after this course.
