Academic Publishing Course (APC-2025-2026)
You will receive 2 ECTS upon completion of this course.

You complete each of the course modules sequentially and prepare the required portfolio items.
Then you sign up for an individual feedback session where you receive written personal feedback and your APC course certificate.
You can go through all materials at your own pace.
RESULT
After this course you will be able to:
- Describe the academic publication process and identify the stakeholders,
- List your responsibilities as an author,
- Describe UT-specific requirements and policies on publishing,
- Select a reputable journal to publish in and,
- Effectively manage the editorial process.
Two online self-paced NatureMasterclasses are integrated in this course.
CONTENT
You will focus on all steps of the publication process:
- Selecting a journal to publish in
- Submitting your manuscript
- Cover letters
- The peer review process
- Dealing with reviewers’ comments
- Revising your manuscript
- Writing a rebuttal letter
What NOT to expect:
- Extensive instruction on basic English grammar and vocabulary
- Extensive in-depth treatment of discipline-specific matters of formatting and presentation
