This training will be paid from central funds. However, you do need permission from your head of department.

First-year PhD-candidates from UT.
You are able to search for and manage academic information, making optimal use of current (technological) possibilities, for research and education purposes.
Systematically searching for information, formulating a problem statement, knowledge and choice of (referring, informing) sources, writing references, reference managers and information management, citation indexes, open access publishing and visibility. These subjects are first treated in general, later focused on the particular search strategy of the participant.
DURATION AND TIME INVESTMENT
Two plenary sessions of 10 hours total. And 4 hours home-study on an online course and writing your own search strategy. The studyload for this course is equivalent to 0.5 ECTS
English language proficiency at level CEF B2 or higher (Common European Framework) is required.
