RESULT
Participants know which sounds (phonemes) are particularly difficult for speakers of Dutch. They will have reduced their Dutch accent and gained more credibility as a speaker of English
CONTENT
This course focuses only on those aspects of English pronunciation that are difficult for speakers of Dutch. Participants will be made aware of their personal pitfalls; each candidate will receive an individual set of exercises to learn to replace incorrect sounds with correct English sounds. Attention will also be placed to word stress.
DURATION AND TIME INVESTMENT
Attendance at every lesson is essential. The course consists of 6 sessions. Each session lasts one and a half hours. Homework is expected to take approximately two hours each week.
