On the 14th of April 2025 the next community afternoon will take place where leaders from UT can join to learn from each other and with each other. The topic of the next edition will be social safety.
The afternoon will be opened by keynote speaker Daniel Seesink.
Grooming professionally, why should you? Through his lecture Daniel Seesink takes us back to the behavioral basics via the recognizable habits that great apes show us. Based on sociobiology he shows how alpha males and silverbacks organize and lead their families. The grooming they do forms an interesting metaphor for how people can meet the need for social and psychologically safe contact. Of course Seesink will translate the grooming of apes to achieving a social safe culture in your organisation. |
The day will continue with a practical workshop where we introduce a conversation tool about social safety and (personal) boundaries. During the workshop you will have a guided conversation (short version) about social safety and undesired behavior. The goal of the workshop is to talk about do's and don'ts and experience how it is to have a guided conversation about this topic. The tool can be used after the workshop (digital or physical version available) to also have the conversation within your team.
To deepen the experience of the day and learn more about how your colleagues are dealing with difficult situations regarding social safety peer-to-peer sessions are provided. Together with a facilitator you will have the possibility to connect with other UT leaders and discuss a group-chosen case from one of the participants.
