Why do we still need translation agencies? Let us explain!
These days, all kinds of technology are available to help us produce and translate texts into various languages automatically. These include machine translation systems such as DeepL and large language models such as ChatGPT. They are highly convenient and ultra-fast! The question is: are you using them responsibly?
Do you ever ask yourself the following questions about DeepL or ChatGPT?
- What is a machine translation and what is a large language model?
- Is confidential information in my texts handled securely ?
- Why do I need a paid version of programs?
- Do I retain ownership of the text that I enter?
- Can I freely use answers and translated content generated by ChatGPT?
- How do translation platforms deal with cultural nuances in my text?
- How do I make sure my translation has the right tone of voice?
- Who can review and edit my automatically generated translation?
