Regarding finding an internship abroad, there are many internship mediation companies available. Some of these companies are good, while other companies offer limited services compared to the fee they ask. Therefore, always consider the services offered in respect to the fee you need to pay. In the case you have doubts or reservations about an internship mediation company, please do not hesitate to contact the B-COM internship coordinator (Mark Tempelman – email@example.com).
However, below mentioned organizations have been of use for B-COM students in the past in organizing an internship abroad.
AIESEC has a large network, based on which the can mediate in management internships, which can be used as a B-COM internship. AIESEC also has an office at the University of Twente Campus and more information as available at: http://www.aiesec.nl/.
The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs may also provide you with interesting options, since they are recruiting interns for Dutch consulates or embassies in countries all over the world. More information about the options of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs is available at: https://www.werkenvoorinternationaleorganisaties.nl/stages/inhoud/overzicht-stages
When taking on an internship abroad, there are some practical aspects to pay attention to. Think about vaccinations which maybe are required or think about health and travel insurances. The University of Twente will issue a travel insurance for you stay abroad as far as this concerns the study related period of stay. Therefore, we always strongly recommend that students also take on a personal travel insurance.
