Swipeguide is a start-up company that develops a platform for visual user guides.
We are based on the UT campus (in the Gallery building) and in Amsterdam.
Our mission is to simplify your world by making any new task easier to do. One user manual, one work instruction at a time. Our platform empowers companies and their employees to create the best instruction experience possible!
We deliver a ready-to-use cloud platform which enables you to create, edit, publish and share visual step-by-step instructions easily and instantly to intuitive mobile apps and websites.
With our software, anyone - whether you are a manufacturer of a coffee machine, a self-built bike or a high-pressure cleaner - can easily create effective instructions for use without in depth knowledge of instructional design or technical writing.
Our platform improves the instruction experience, reduces customer service costs and piles of paper from being wasted.
A number of companies, such as Heineken and Philips, are using SwipeGuide’s platform to produce digital, visual user guides, but up to now the benefits of using this platform are not validated. You are asked to do a validation study to find out what the benefits and disadvantages are of SwipeGuide’s platform compared to a more traditional way of developing user guides.
We need a student who is able to work independently, who is creative, and who has some knowledge on information design and on how to do user tests. Most work can be done in Enschede but you’ll also have to visit our office in Amsterdam regularly.
Visit our website for more information on the company and the platform.
