Assignment

The management team of the bachelor Communication Science and master Communication Studies is interested to find out how prospective Dutch students can be attracted to apply for either the bachelor or master programme. The primary focus of the assignment is on the communication channels that can be best used to reach out to potential students for both educations. Which channels do students use to acquire information about future study options and based on your findings, which channel strategies emerge? We think that two students could study this subject, divided into:

1)     A student investigating the communication channels for prospect bachelor students. Hence, researching channel usage of secondary education (VWO) students in the age between 15 and 18.

2)     A student investigating the communication channels for prospect master students. Hence, researching channel usage of students of applied universities (HBO).

In consultation with your supervisor, you will elaborate on a research design to research the channel usage, concerning the orientation on future study options, of one of above mentioned target groups.

Start date: Februari 2018
