Demo: Green roofs and green walls – the cooling effect – Fri 1 May 2026
What is the cooling effect of a green roof or green wall during a heatwave? In this demonstration at the UT Field Lab, we show how different types of green roofs and green walls are tested by monitoring temperature, humidity, precipitation, solar radiation and wind.
This demonstration is part of the Twente Water Weeks, during which a range of fun activities centred on the theme of water are being organised at various locations throughout Twente. From guided tours and excursions to cycle rides and open days. There’s something for everyone! You can find an overview of all the activities at groenblauwtwente.nl
The demonstration will be in Dutch and, if requested, also in English.
Date/Times: Friday 1 May. A demo takes approximately 30 minutes and starts at 10.00, 10.30, 11.00 en 11.30.
