At UT, we undertake applied research and provides education on the direct and indirect effects of a changing climate from the local to the global scale. We examine existing trends and help develop technical and social innovations for enhancing climate resilience and managing weather extremes. Drawing on interdisciplinary expertise we address challenges such as drought, water scarcity, food security and disaster resilience, through for example, climate-proof agriculture, water retaining landscapes, urban planning and governance. In doing so we consider societal aspects including climate justice, environmental ethics and behavioural change.
