Two students succesfully  graduated

Recently two students graduated under supervision of dr. Derya Demirtas. Rogier Stuyver finished his Master’s with a project at the Sint Maartenskliniek in Nijmegen. In his research he assessed the current performance of processes in the pharmacy and analyzed several inefficiencies. He furthermore proposed interventions such that the current inefficiencies can be reduced significantly.

Eva Draijer finished her Bachelor program with a project at Acute Zorg Euregio. One of Acute Zorg Euregio’s roles is to create a network of chain partners that are involved in emergency care. To train what to do when a disaster happens, Acute Zorg Euregio held various trainings with the Emergo Train System (ETS). These trainings made them realize that improvement can be made in the field of disaster planning. They were curious if a mathematical model could improve the allocation of patients to a hospital in case of a mass casualty incident. In her Research Eva used mathematical models to give Acute Zorg Euregio several recommendations on how this could be achieved.
