New CHOIR publication: Case mix classification and a benchmark set for surgery scheduling.

Surgery scheduling is one of the most studied topics in healthcare scheduling. However, it is hard to compare various solution strategies with each other, particularly because of the varying surgery types that are observed between hospitals and specialties. The most recent publication of Gréanne Leeftink and Erwin Hans proposes a case mix classification, which typifies real-life and theoretical case mixes based on the underlying surgery types. Furthermore, a diverse benchmark set and instance generator are presented. This way, a fair comparison of approaches is facilitated.
