New PhD. Candidate at CHOIR

This week Eline Tsai started as a PhD. candidate at CHOIR. She recently got her master's degree in applied mathematics at the University of Twente.

Eline: "My research focusses on the process from blood withdrawal to first results in the routine 24/7 clinical chemistry laboratory. The project is in cooperation with Erasmus MC, AMC, VUmc and Roche Diagnostics.

I have obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degree at the University of Twente in Applied Mathematics. My master’s thesis is titled: The optimal time allocation of an orthopedic surgeon. The research was in cooperation with the Sint Maartenskliniek and was also conducted within CHOIR. My interest lies in the fields of queueing theory, Markov decision processes and healthcare operations research.

Looking forward to a fun project"
