If you would like to organize an activity outside official opening hours in one of the teaching buildings, the organizers must always notify the university. You can notify the university about events using the event notifier. See also:
- Procedure/instructions for events outside office hours
- Summary of regulations for events outside office hours
The Events Office must always be notified of large-scale parties and events by way of an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The Events Office is authorized to give permission for an event or party. As the organizer, you must always satisfy all requirements, guidelines and conditions before receiving definitive permission. The university must also be notified no later than 4 weeks in advance of all parties and activities at which more than 20 people are expected, using the event notifier.
HOUSE PARTIES OR PARTIES ON PREMISES OWNED BY EXTERNAL THIRD PARTIES
The university must also be notified of parties on campus in buildings owned by external third parties (such as De Veste), and the organizers must also submit a plan for (larger) events which fall outside the private sphere to the Events Office and University of Twente Security (email@example.com). The organizers must also provide this plan to the external third party and take into account any applicable conditions in addition to the university’s conditions. See also the regulations and key considerations for house parties.
If you would like to organize a party or activity for more than 20 people outside official opening hours, you must ensure that enough qualified University of Twente emergency response personnel is present. See also the BHV regulations.
