This course emphasizes on conversation skills, enabling participants to handle student and client contact with confidence. Exercises and vocabulary aim at the academic daily business and environment. The course ties in with the prior knowledge of participants, e.g. former school curricula, and offers extension of vocabulary and deepening of grammatical structures.
Of course there is room for individual learning goals!
Free speech in the target language will be instructed by inductive and communicative learning and makes up the central learning goal. Exercises lead from simple to more complex tasks. Every session starts with a theme introduction, presenting vocabulary and linking with relevant grammar structures. Role play exercises, working in groups and small presentations prepare for an improvement of and confidence in free speech connected to possible scenarios in an academic environment.
The conversation skills of participants will further improve through learning to speak about certain themes, making proposals, giving opinions and react appropriately in discussions and/or conflict.
