For anyone who has completed Follow Up III, Follow Up IV or a similar course and whose current level of Dutch is approximately CEF-level B2.


This course will prepare you for the Dutch State Exam NT2, Programme II.


Introduction and explanation of the four components of the State Exam:

  • practise exams;
  • explanation of assessment criteria.

This course does not teach Dutch language skills but prepares for the State Exam NT2, Programme II. In each lesson, one component of the State Exam is practiced and explained. Course participants prepare test exams at home, or do them in class and receive individual feedback on their results. Special attention is paid to the assessment criteria of the State Exam.


Attendance at every lesson is essential. The course consists 4 two-hour sessions. Participants are expected to prepare test exams at home. The study load for this course is roughly equivalent to 1 ECTS.

Admission criteria

Admission on the basis of certificates obtained from earlier language courses or after an intake interview.
