Career Services supports students in their career orientation and offers possibilities for companies to contact students.
Studying involves more than just getting a diploma. Even while studying you are faced with questions concerning your career after you graduate. Which optional subject will you choose, will you study a subject abroad and what are your possibilities generally speaking? Career Services is here to help and support you in thinking about your future – enabling you to start your successful career as soon as you have graduated. We provide information and offer various services for students to prepare for life after their studies, including career counselling, study choice tests, workshops and the career platform Jobteaser.
Career counselling
During an appointment, we always look at your specific situation and wishes. We offer you tests and practical exercises to help you gain insight into your skills, interests, traits and motivations and identify the types of work and field(s) or industries that match your profile. You can contact Career Services as a UT student, but also recent graduates can make an appointment or join one of our workshops.
Career platform JobTeaser
Whether you are a student or a graduate, we are here to guide you through your job search and application process. JobTeaser simplifies the process of discovering a wide range of opportunities, including jobs, internships, and career events. What is even more exciting, is that it is not limited to external companies. UT's departments, student associations, and groups like EngD can also share job openings and career-related activities.

Career Café
Are you about to graduate and looking for your first job? Or do you want to explore your career path? Twice a year, Career Services in cooperation with the Alumni Office organises a UT Career Café. The next Career Café is on 12 and 14 November. You can easily register via the www.utwente.nl/careerservices to join this event.
In the Career Café you meet UT alumni from all over the world, who would love to share their tips on getting the (maybe) perfect job. In the Career Café you can connect with alumni and learn from their experiences. In small groups of max 5 students you may ask the alumnus questions such as:
Study choice test
Are you a bachelor's student and are you unsure if you have chosen the right programme? Or do you expect a negative binding recommendation (BSA) and would you like to orientate on other study programmes? Then you can make an appointment for a study choice/interest test. After completing an interest test, you will discuss the results of the test in a personal conversation. You can schedule an appointment yourself with the self-planner on the website.
