This course provides participants with opportunities to practise and improve English skills suitable for upper-intermediate use.
- Intensive training in all language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking;
- interactive classes;
- particular focus on vocabulary, idioms and structure (English in Use);
- extensive use of authentic materials;
- exam preparation.
The course consists of 25 two-hour classes, providing ample opportunity for discussion, pair work and group work. In addition, participants are expected to spend a considerable amount of time on self-study assignments. See http://www.cambridgeenglish.org/ for more information.
Attendance at every lesson is essential. The course is held over 25 weeks, excluding a summer holiday break in July and August. Homework is expected to take approximately three hours each week.
Participants are required to complete an Oxford Online Placement Test (OOPT) before being accepted for enrolment in a Cambridge course. English language proficiency at level CEF B1 (Common European Framework) is required. At this moment it is not possible to request a token for the OOPT. Registration is open from 15th June again.
The sign up for the language courses for the academic year 2019/2020 is possible from the 15th of June.
