Mandarin Chinese 3

In this course participants extend their knowledge of Mandarin Chines, CEF-level A2. After this training you have learned enough Mandarin Chinese to have a conversation with colleagues and friends at work, in a restaurant or in contacts with companies or other institutions. One furthermore can identify specific information in simple, everyday texts such as advertisements, leaflets, menus and timetables. Afterwards there is a possibility to enlist for the HSK3 exams, organised by the Confucius Institute in Groningen and Maastricht. The HS3 exam is an international test that measures the level of knowledge of the Chinese language.

The practicing of skills is embedded in relevant everyday situations and events with focus on issues like housing, study, travel and work in China.
For this course, a modern learning method with an emphasis on spoken Mandarin Chinese will be used.
The extension of communicative competences is the central learning objective of this course. Learning from and with each other is essential. Pair and group work therefore play an important role.
