Dutch A2 for Germans ONLINE Practice course

RESULT

In this course, participants will acquire a basic knowledge of Dutch, leading them to CEF-level A2.  

CONTENT

Once a week you have a study lesson where you have to prepare for the practice lesson. In this study lesson, you use the course’s online learning platform to listen to dialogues, practise and learn grammar, do exercises and learn the vocabulary, together with other participants and under the guidance of a student-assistant.  

In the practice lesson, you will actively work with the teacher and your classmates and practise all the topics you have prepared in the study lesson. This way, at the end of the course, you will be able to function in Dutch at CEF-level A2, which means that you can:  

DURATION AND TIME INVESTMENT

Attendance at every lesson is essential. The course consists of 20 lessons of two hours each, with two sessions every week: one study lesson and one practice lesson. Homework is expected to take approximately two hours per week, in addition to the study lesson.  

ADMISSION CRITERIA 

Admission is granted based on certificates obtained from earlier language courses, in this case,  Dutch A1, or an intake exam, which you can register for here

    This course is an online course, we will be using MS Teams, therefore a webcam and headphones are required. 

  • Course fee

    UT bachelor and master’s students: €25 (NON-REFUNDABLE administration fee), payable at registration. Course materials are included. 
    UT-employees: €310 
    Faculty departments pay an annual fee, so you do not pay yourself. You need permission from your head of department and a project number. Service departments will be charged with the course price, so you do not pay yourself. You need permission from your head of department and a project number.  
    Partners of UT-employees: €310
    Non-UT participants: €405
    Partners and non-UT participants can use internet payment to pay the course fee. 

  • Maximum participants

    Minimum 10 and maximum 12 participants per practice lesson 

  • Trainers

    Qualified teacher of Dutch as a Foreign Language 

  • Course materials

    Provided by the UT Language Centre: LINK+, Boom uitgevers, ISBN 3009010004104, online digital learning platform, 12 months license 

  • Requirements
