The central theme of this course is an introduction into designing education as defined in UTQ competence 1. More specific designing a lesson plan and designing a (-blueprint of a-) course. After this course you are able to make a start designing a course in a systematic and creative way. Taken into account all relevant educational design aspects leading to an effective, efficient and activating student learning design
Design a lesson plan following the ADDIE framework showing: Analysis of context, learning outcomes and starting situation, Well-balanced and varied subject matter within the curriculum, Structured design, Constructive alignment, an activating pedagogical method Embed the lesson (series) into the curriculum with a substantiated relation between the course/lesson and other courses in the same year/semester taking in to account: the pedagogical principles, learning themes, academic context and (own) research; the curricular aspects (Macro level) of a degree program (Lesson – Course – degree program); Final qualifications / competences, etc. ; Learning themes; Assessment design; Institute and faculty vision, rules and regulations.
