To sum up...
Contemporary landscape, on which mobility, sound, and change are inherent, is the main topic in the drawings of Jozef de Bot. This also leads to occasional large wall photocopy settings. Jozef de Bot shows at the exhibition "Alles samenvattend" some of these large settings of enlarged and cut photocopies: Forest, Mountain, Sea, Town, Easter fire and others.
Jozef is proceeding with this work in a twilight zone between reproductions and originality. Why? Because the copies are cut up, combined, decorated with felt pen and are omitted pieces. They have become original result?
Opening in the presence of the exhibitor on Thursday 27 October, 16:30 hrs.
The opening speech will be performed by Patrick Mangnus, artist and also active in the art scene of Deventer (Kunstenlab and Havenkwartier).
