Best to come here and see the campus live, but you can prepare your visit on line.
The campus of the University of Twente was constructed during the 1960s in a park-like area between Enschede and Hengelo. It was an experiment: the Netherlands did not have another example of a campus university yet.
Since it was built more than 50 years ago, a lot has been changed and rebuilt at the University of Twente, although some of the original architectural or urban ideas have remained unaffected by the ravages of time.
The special campus walk we have mapped out for lovers of art and architecture allows you to find this out. Download the booklet in Dutch or English or collect a printed copy at the service desk of the Spiegel building.
Would you prefer to do a tour of the campus with a professional guide? We can arrange that. The costs for a guided tour are €70 per hour. The maximum group size is 25 persons per guide. A campus tour takes about 1 to 1,5 hours. Larger groups require more guides. Due to the variable avaliability of (student) guides, please contact us two weeks in advance:

The Campus app guides you to your meeting, the parking spot closest to your appointment or any other outdoors point of interest. You can download the app for Android or IOS.
This digital map shows the full area of the University of Twente and Kennispark Twente and gives a nice view of the campus and its surrounding area. Click on a building to find out more about its architecture, the organisations located in it and to see several images.
The embed functionality at the top left of the map allows you to publish a personalised version of the map on your own website, or to copy a personalised link in your e-mail signature. An instruction can be found here.

GOOGLE MAPS AND INDOOR MAPS
UT has expanded Google Maps with the Google Maps Indoor functionality in close collaboration with Google. This feature enables you to use Google Maps and take a look inside the buildings to see the full floor plan and room devision. All important locations, such as meeting rooms, canteens and other facilities can be displayed in this way.
Google Indoor Maps can be reached by zooming in at maps.google.com on a building, or by using Google Maps on a mobile device to zoom in on your location.
Several books have been published about the campus during the past few years. They have been issued upon the completion of the real estate masterplan in 2011, and for the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the campus. See below.
