Katharina Schulte achieved her BSc degree in European Studies at the University of Twente in 2012 (Bachelor’s Thesis: ‘Police Contacts of Ethnic Minority and Non-ethnic Minority Juveniles in Germany – an Exploratory Research’). Currently, she follows the sub-specialization Public Safety of the Master’s programme Public Administration at the University of Twente.
Katharina currently contributes to the international DiscGo project (The Governance of Discontinuation of Sociotechnical Systems, their Infrastructures and Regimes) which is led by the Department of Science, Technology, and Policy Studies (STePS). Within this project context, she examines the role of the light industry as actor and factor in the EU discontinuation of the incandescent light bulb by means of analysing policy and industry documents of relevant key players that were involved in the process.
In her leisure time, Katharina is passionate about music (she plays the trumpet as well as the soprano and alto recorder), cooking and practicing Yoga.
