Upcoming European Funding Information Sessions Explore MSCA, ERC and Horizon Europe opportunities with practical guidance and support from the Grants Office

The Grants Office will organise several information sessions in the coming months on key European funding opportunities. Please mark the following dates in your agenda. More information and registration details will follow soon. 

31 March 2026 | 09:00 – 10:00 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Information Session

In this session, the Grants Office and BMS Finance will explain the MSCA scheme and discuss how our faculty approaches these grants. We will also jointly explore creative solutions for some of the financial challenges that may arise when preparing MSCA proposals. Register here. (More information below). 

15 April 2026 | 11:00 – 12:30  ERC Information Session

An introduction to the European Research Council (ERC) scheme, including the different grant types and opportunities. Participants will also have the chance to ask questions and discuss potential ERC ideas. Register here

9 June 2026 | 10:00 – 16:30 Horizon Europe Impact Workshop

This full-day training is aimed at (experienced) researchers at the University of Twente who coordinate Horizon Europe Pillar II proposals. Participants will actively work on the impact section of their own proposal or project idea, with practical guidance and feedback. The training will be provided by the RVO. Further details and registration information will be shared soon.

Grants Office invites all researchers from BMS Faculty to join our Infosession on Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions (MSCA) on 31.03.2026 from 9.00 to 10.00. Please, save the date in your agenda and register for this online event here.

On MSCA

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) support researchers at all stages of their career and across all disciplines. Transnational, intersectoral and interdisciplinary mobility is an integral part of the programme. The aim of the programme is ultimately to make Europe attractive for top researchers and to strengthen the EU's scientific and technological bases and the European Research Area (ERA).

Funding instruments

The programme consists of five different individual actions:

  • MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships
  • MSCA Staff Exchange
  • MSCA Co-funding of regional, national and international programmes (COFUND)

On the Infosession

The Infosession is focused on two MSCA funding instruments: Doctoral Networks and Postdoctoral Fellowship. Grants Office invites all those interested to join the event where we will inform you on:

  • MSCA in Horizon Europe: main features and novelties
  • Specifics of the MSCA funding instruments: Doctoral Networks and Postdoctoral Fellowship
  • Grant Office support for MSCA

Featured speaker during the event is Prof. Bernand Veldkamp. BMS Research Support colleagues will also be sharing information about processes and measures connected to the MSCA applications. 

The Infosession is an online event - you will receive the log on information after registration. The event will be recorded, so if you are unavailable to attend on 31 March 2026, but would be interested in MSCA, please sign up as well. You will receive the recording afterwards.
