Researchers work together with many partners: hospitals, schools, businesses, other academic institutions, local governments and even citizens, to name a few. These partnerships contribute to generating impact and to making a meaningful contribution to societal challenges. Working with stakeholders doesn’t just happen, it requires planning, dedication and different approaches for different stakeholders. To help researchers with this, several UT Research Support colleagues have come together to organise the workshop “We’re in it together! Stakeholder engagement for research”.
What can you expect in the workshop?
- Introduction to outside-in working and the 4th generation university
- Theory of “impact” and the impact pathway
- Illustrating two approaches to stakeholder engagement: Citizen Science and the Implementation STakeholder Engagement Model (I-STEM) toolkit
- Time for you to get to consider and explore your own stakeholder engagement approach
This introductory workshop is set up for a wide audience: anyone with an interest in the topic of stakeholder engagement in research, at any point in your career and from any disciplinary background.
