On MSCA

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) support researchers at all stages of their career and across all disciplines. Transnational, intersectoral and interdisciplinary mobility is an integral part of the programme. The aim of the programme is ultimately to make Europe attractive for top researchers and to strengthen the EU's scientific and technological bases and the European Research Area (ERA).

Funding instruments

The programme consists of five different individual actions:

  • MSCA Doctoral Networks
  • MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships
  • MSCA Staff Exchange
  • MSCA Co-funding of regional, national and international programmes (COFUND)
  • MSCA and Citizens

Calls and Deadlines

MSCA are about to be launched amongst the first funding initiatives of Horizon Europe. First MSCA calls (Doctoral Network and Postdoctoral Fellowship) are expected to open in April 2021 with first deadline in September 2021.
