Defended your PhD-thesis in 2018?
Get in contact with your promotor and opt for the Overijsselse PhD Award!
BMS is allowed to nominate 1 excellent PhD thesis that was defended in the year 2018.
The PhD thesis is of outstanding academic quality and/or has high relevance for society (or shows potential for this), and it can be considered as the start of a promising academic career.
If you think you are the right candidate for this prize, then get in contact with your promotors/co-promotors, and please let them send a mail to our research coordinator, Lyan Kamphuis-Blikman (l.j.m.blikman@utwente.nl) before July 10th, 2019.
They have to provide a short rationale and attach the pdf version of the thesis.
If selected, we will ask the promotor to write a letter of recommendation for the jury. The recommendation letter needs to be ready before August 1st, 2019.
The prize will be rewarded at Dies Natalis 29 November 2019.
