General information

Ringo Ossewaarde is an Associate Professor in Sociology of Governance in the Faculty of Behavioural, Management & Social Sciences at the University of Twente. He took his undergraduate and master degrees at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and he took his PhD at the LSE. He coordinates and teaches in the BSc Management, Society & Technology and the MSc Public Administration programs. His research is concerned with the relationship between transformations, societal challenges, societal resilience, technology and governance issues in different policy areas and authority levels in globalizing European societies.


In recent years, Ringo Ossewaarde has developed expertise on a number of governance, technology and society issues. These include:
